Scortec Systems Limited is the data controller and we are responsible for your personal data (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice).

This includes any communications that you send to us through the comments, contact form on our website, or through email, text and social media messaging. We process this data for the purpose of communicating with you.

We use plugins which work with Google to keep track of customer user of our website. This includes data about the use of our website and online services such as IP address, login data, details about your browser, page views, length of time of individual pages, number of times you listed our website and time zone settings.


3. Who we share your data with

Occasionally we have to share your data with:

  • Other companies in our group who provide services to us
  • Service providers you provide IT and administration services
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers and accountants
  • Government bodies where required to report processing activities

4. How long we retain your data

We only retain data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose we collected it for (analytics) and to satisfy any legal or accounting requirements. 

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.


5. What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Some of our third party service providers are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Therefore their processing of your data will involve a transfer outside the EEA. We only use third parties who are deemed to provide the same level of security within the EEA; as approved by the European Commission or the EU-US Privacy Shield in the United States.

8. How we protect your data

Data is stored in a locked metal cabinet and on a password protected laptop. And also on a password protected cloud account. We are a registered with ICO as a data controller.
